gommorah twist

Antagonist, standing outside the Medusa
Getting really stoned
a garden full of statues time has over grown
Why cant they move?
Quiver
Tremble
Shimmy
Shiver
Shake
Color of mop water, clean the mess you make
They’re indifferent; they're uninspired by that
They only came here to be seen
Twist, climb up some ladder
Gommorah crumbles
We’re all pillars made of salt
Sweat
Ashes
Thicker than my wrist
None of that really matters when we do the twist
In the kitchen breaking dishes after hours staring at the moon
I had nothing much to say, always getting in the way
At a place that we called coming soon
There’s a place around back where I spoke into a crack
I was in the Secret Service I. was wearing all black
Get my money wired when I'm feeling tired
I was needing those eyes wide
And the innocence I lack, it ain’t never coming back
I don’t even ever wonder; just regard it as a fact
Cuz that load’s a house of lard
When I tried to find a home by the Metrodome
Well I found it just like silence in a megaphone
There was none, there was none
I was coming undone
Disgraceland
Rest in peace to giving a shit
Hell is earth and living on it
I’m a 20 dollar bill for a mystery pill
Only the slow people know speed kills
Paralysis

bill's ice cream

I have a brother
My brothers name is Bill
And once upon a time inside my mother
Me and my brother shared a single tiny cell
I’m William’s better half, but it’s easy to tell
The weaker of us two; I bend at his will
“I want your ice cream"
"i never wanna share my toy”
A sparkle in our fathers eye
Split into matching little boys
down to our freckles, our bodies
Our chemicals
Our blood
Our spit
Genetics identical
Embryo split
his patsy, his beta,
subordinate
“I want more ice cream"
"I’ll make your life a living hell”
and if I disregard my brother: I lose a game of William Tell
Oh whats the use?
in the end he always has his way
to exercise futility is trying to defy
I’m still only half a sparkle in my fathers eye
Oh William,
oh will, oh bill, oh Mac, oh buddy
I wonder why you didn’t swallow me up in the first trimester?
Absorb me in the womb
Make quick work of me like you do now
But then it occurs to me
A dog is not a man’s best friend, a twin brother is
i’m more obedient any way because you trained me so well
when you say sit, I sit
when you say stay,I stay
And when you ask me to retrieve and then return?
I bring it back with me, whatever it might be
I bring it back

My favorite place to meet them was the food court at the mall of america.
Even then, I wet my lips and whimpered my eyes and watched them catch my scent across a veranda.
my jeans were skin tight, my thighs were still teenaged and all I wanted was a room key for a shopping spree.
Sometimes I’d let a sucker hang out of my mouth as I’d ride the escalators, a smoke signal of sorts, an invitation to approach, an invitation to spoil me rotten
We’d go to all my favorite stores and they’d use their American Express black cards to buy me whatever I wanted, no questions asked, just an unspoken handshake agreement, plausible deniability until the deal was sealed
sometimes we’d go back to their cars in the empty parts of the parking ramp
trick or treat I guess
Aching from a shallow throat
the mall was right by the airport, so a lot of lonesome pilot type would occupy the holiday inns and the la quintas and marriots and hiltons and super 8s.
I'd wade past a disinterested concierge, up the burgundy steps, the kind of place that will always smell like old cigarette smoke
Phil would encourage me to try a new lotion, he’d buy a few bottles and take me back to his hotel room. He always stayed in there one attached to the mall and I’d pretend to be his son if anybody asked
But they didn't
Kenneth had a big body, the kind I could hide under, and he would put his weight over me and enter me and crush me in the yellow light
One we’ll call Adam insisted I swallow a mystery pill if wanted to get paid and I was terrified but I did it anyway, Oh come on, it’s just viagra he sighed, as if my teenage virility wasn’t intrinsic to our transaction
Aching from a shallow throat
Have you seen the guts of a megamall? A mall is like a tooth, half hidden in the gums of the earth, and the roots are parking garages and fire escape routes and private entrances. One of the security guards I’d gained the favor of would play look out for me if I wanted to bring somebody down in the depths, all he wanted to do was watch.
So I let him.
I made myself a well
all for pennies tossed by strange men:
Open wide and seemingly bottomless,
Deceptively accumulative
Rich with it
At the end of the night i’d take my spending money and shopping bags and smoke ditch weed on top of the western parking ramp, one of my favorite places to recline and consider the perks of anonymity and I’d watch the sun go down while the other side of the horizon would glow from the airport.
And wait for my grandma to pick me up
Aching from a shallow throat

Eggs hatch
Whiplash
Unknowing bliss - It’s very that
A perversion of your history that you regard as fact;
I’m gonna open my jaw
Rub my wings raw
Ripped open like the land by a glacier you call law
That was how your world was won
Everything you know - swallow it all whole
That’s just to start
You try to run, get out of town
Architecture
We pull it down
and you will know that we’ve arrived
Of a hive mind
we organized a million eggs cracking open right inside your wall
No use signaling distress, no one can hear the call
If we didn’t take your tongue you might name this hell
But our swarm is godless so I guess it’s just as well
That is what we call revenge-
Run to your maker, pray for salvation, wish at the well that’s dried
Make us an offer, white flag waving, swallow your foolish pride
no, you won’t do that
No, it’s too late for that
You’re far to stubborn to admit when fights already thrown
It’s our world and you can’t live in it
Oceans full of poison
Dusters used in vain
Nothing stopped the flood
Ten Thousand broken arrows were wasted on our backs
Look at what you’ve done
Follow the leader, topple the steeple, cry in the face of god
Simple as we outnumber the people, calculate your odds
Odds your odds your odds your odds
run to the devil make him an offer silver for your soul
Cover the earth outnumber the people swallow it all whole
hole all whole all hole all whole
That is what we call revenge
That is how your world will end

big body
small Milky Way
Your tunneled moon, my silver spoon
A mouthful
You dont believe it?
Well I do now;
when your face mixes with the sea
The detritus, the unknown
You’ve come to set us free alone
extinguish our star on basis need to know
To drown the sun you gotta be so paranoid
but you’re the only one who knows
A brief examination of your personal affects reveals all the evidence needed to build an airtight case against you, from the pocket lint and moon cleansed crystals and pamphlet on extra terrestrial archaeology, you were sent here to end with a heavy heart but you were never quite sure from where, and i turned to a page in your logbook that plainly said
i’ve been a burden, ashamed with precision, I’ve kept my eyes real low
Trapped in inversion, a past tense revision, and the past drifts away real slow
I’ve had the face of a coin and the eyes of a hawk with my mouth on the moon
New transmission through old radiation, I’m surprised when they fill my room
You’re my hero
You oughta keep that close
You tell me all I need to know
To drown the sun you gotta be so paranoid
Your missions not done yet
We’re all still here
Your secrets safe with me
